5 Reasons Why Nha Trang Should Be On Your Travel List


Nha Trang is a coastal city, which was recognized by Travel + Leisure for owning one of the 29 most beautiful beaches in the world. It draws thousands of tourists each year due to its picturesque beaches, idyllic islets and post-colonial buildings as well as the remains of the old Champa here. Nha Trang Beach

This tropical beach is famous for the crystal-clear sea water, you can see clearly what is underwater almost year-round. The wet season lasts from October to January, so the perfect time to visit Nha Trang is around from June to early October, when the water is at its cleanest. Most accommodations lie very close to the beach and near the main road, as a result, it only takes you about 2 minutes of walking to reach the beach from your hotel.

Four Popular Islands

Hon Mun

Occasionally, ships only stay in shallow water area where the visitor can go snorkelling or swimming.

Hon Tam

You will be charged a fee in order to go ashore. You can lay on the sandy beach and have a sunbathing while fully immerse yourself in the green of the island. Moreover, some water sports are available for you to take part in like sea parachute, panels.

Hon Tre

Tour and admission fees for activities are the same to those of Hon Tam. Thus, Hon Tre serves as an alternative option for Hon Tam.

Hon Mieu

This is a small serene island, where an aquarium is located. This is the main reason attracting tourists to come to this island.

Open time: Travelers are free to visit these islands starting at around 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Pearl Island Amusement Park

Situated on Hon Tre Island, Pear island amusement park covers an area of more than 30,000 square meters, and homes many luxury accommodations, largest amusement facilities in Nha Trang. It possesses the largest swimming pool in Southeast Asia, a private beach with a length of 700 meters, the world’s longest sea-crossing cable car, plus a huge amusement park consisting of roller coasters, merry-go-round.

You can indulge in some indoor video games in the game centre which also offers 4D cinema, delve into the aforementioned aquarium or rest at five-star degrees Holiday hotels with top SPA club.

Transportation: You can get there by taking a boat or a cable car, which departs at Phu Quy Port in the south of Cau Da Wharf.

Ticket fee: The price for an adult is 500,000VND ($21,50US), and that for a child is 400,000VND ($17,20US), which comprises transport fee between the port and Hon Tre (either by boat or by cable car)

King Cathedral, Nha Trang

King Cathedral is a gothic building which is constructed by the French in 1928-1933. The church displays an aesthetic skylight glass painted with the Bible story featuring a lot of French concepts. It is less well-known compared to the famous Notre Dame in Saigon, however, its splendid appearance and culture value is still retained over time.

Unlike Da Lat pink church and Ho Chi Minh red church, Nha Trang church is kept at its original colour of stone without adding colourful decorate. It welcomes visitors at 5:30 AM – 5:00 PM on the weekdays, and at 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM, 11:00AM-4: 30 PM on the weekends.

Po Nagar Cham Towers

Po Nagar Cham Towers also known as Temple of Po Nagar is a sacred place, where the goddess Po Nagar inhabits here. She is the protector of the fishermen and the south of Champa Kingdom

This construction is created in the 7th – 12th century, which is reckoned as a representative building of Hinduism. Its concept is not much different than that of Angkor Wat buildings, though it is much smaller. At present, there are only 5 buildings left in the temple complex to discover.

Once entering the temple, you must remember to take off your shoes because it plays an essential part in the culture of Cham people.
